Job description
As a High-Speed Analog ASIC Design Engineer, you will be part of a global team driving the development of highly specialized ASICs for Advantest's next generation of broadband Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems. Your role will span from fundamental research into innovative circuit technologies to the definition, design, verification, and laboratory bring-up of manufactured components. Key Responsibilities: - Research and develop concepts and circuits for broadband analog and high-speed custom digital ASICs with diverse requirements - Perform simulation, verification, and optimization of transistor-level designs in both schematic and layout using industry-standard EDA tools - Ensure performance, manufacturability, and reliability of designs across variations of process and temperature - Conduct the bring-up and characterization of manufactured ASICs in the laboratory using state-of-the-art test and measurement equipment
Requirements
Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering; PhD preferred - Strong understanding of semiconductor processes and design methodologies - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in high-speed analog ASIC design at the transistor level - At least 5 years of experience in modeling, design, simulation, and layout using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Design Environment) - Proven ability to work independently and stay motivated when tackling complex design challenges - Basic proficiency in both low-level and high-level programming languages (e.g., Mathematica, C++, Python, MATLAB) - Proficiency in English is required; German language skills are a plus
