Job description

As a Software Engineer (m/f/d) - QA & Test Automation, you will play a key role in our agile development team. You will ensure that our software solutions are stable, reliable, and future-proof - from middleware to warehouse management systems. Here's what you'll achieve with us:

  • You will develop and be responsible for the quality assurance strategy for our core platforms and services.
  • You will design and automate test plans (API, integration, end-to-end tests) and ensure seamless integration into our CI/CD pipelines.
  • You work closely with developers, product owners and DevOps to integrate quality into the development process from the very beginning ("Shift Left").
  • You analyze sources of error, derive measures for continuous improvement, and actively contribute to test automation and observability.
  • You understand quality not just as testing - but as a holistic responsibility for reliable software and scalable processes.

Requirements

  • Completed studies in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in software quality assurance, ideally in the context of modern web or platform architectures.
  • Solid knowledge of test automation (e.g., Cypress, Jest, Postman, or similar tools).
  • Experience with CI/CD environments (GitLab or similar).
  • Understanding of APIs, data structures and interface communication (REST, JSON, XML).
  • Enjoyment of structured work, process thinking and technical precision.
  • You are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with load/performance tests, monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Sentry, etc.) or cloud environments is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

  • We offer you flexible working hours and location.
  • Modern tech stacks, flat hierarchies and a culture built on personal responsibility, trust and quality.
  • Numerous benefits, including a company bike, subsidy for a Germany ticket/gym, etc.
  • Further training, individual development opportunities and genuine scope for participation.

Interested? This is a full-time position. Mobile office options are available after the initial training period, but we prefer candidates to be based in Hamburg. We look forward to receiving your application, including your salary expectations and earliest possible start date, and getting to know you soon. For ease of reading, we sometimes use the masculine form in the text. Of course, applicants of all genders (m/f/d) are equally welcome to apply. Do you have any questions?
