Join GDIT as a Systems Administrator Senior and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you., The System Administrator will support Enterprise administration for two network environments, providing Tier 2/3 support with proactive and immediate troubleshooting, configuring, and repairing systems, software, and ancillary hardware issues. Ensures proper maintenance and patching of systems, STIG and SCAP compliance, installation and deployment. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for software/hardware maintenance and troubleshooting of various vendor devices/platforms.
- Provide systems administration support to image, configure, and transition Dell thin clients as part of network migration
- Manage printer support including configuring and deploying new printers and ensuring client connectivity and functionality
- Manage the functionality and efficiency of physical and virtual servers including troubleshooting operating systems
- Provide system management through Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and RedHat Ansible
- Validate and ensure compliance with security policy for mixed security environments
- Coordinate with Cyber Security team to install, manage, and update tools such as Tenable Security Center, Nessus Agents, Trellix, and Splunk Forwarders
- Conduct software license tracking, renewals, and audits and maintain inventory of equipment, software and software licenses.
- Provide tier 2/3 technical system support to Enterprise Service Desk personnel, including troubleshooting and touch labor service support as needed
- Monitor system performance. Independently troubleshoot and resolve highly complex problems to ensure reliable performance of systems.
- Perform Tier 2/3 touch labor support Server and virtual environments
- Develop, maintain, and improve Knowledge Databases, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Order Procedures (WOP) to reduce resolution wait times, improve actionable response times, and improve overall user support.
- Collect, document, and analyze system and network metrics to identify patterns and trends, and identify and document steps for improvements while maintaining customer satisfaction in every step of the service delivery model
Requirements

- Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated System Administration/Engineering experience
- Technical skills: Microsoft Exchange server administration; Applicable certification such as Microsoft, VMware, RedHat or equivalent industry technical certification; Knowledge and hands-on experience with Splunk and Log reviewing tools; Knowledge and hands-on experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) administration. (Horizon, fxlogix, and Omnissa DEM); Knowledge and hands-on experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) such as Dell VxRail, and VMware VSAN; Knowledge and hands-on experience with mixed environments of VMware, Windows Server, and RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL); Security-focused work approach with emphasis on the environment's security posture; Excellent customer service skills and communication skills; Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment or as a focused task individual.
- Security clearance level: US Secret (SSBI) Security Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI as required

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
