AI/ML Engineer

As an AI/ML Engineer, you bring AI to life : designing, building and optimizing intelligent applications that truly serve end users. You develop GenAI features, craft robust backend systems and APIs and collaborate with data and ML engineers to scale impactful models. You make sure our AI runs smoothly, stays cost-efficient and keep pushing the boundaries by experimenting with new capabilities that shape our customer facing gen AI roadmap.

What youll do

• Using LLMs like OpenAI or open-source models, you build GenAI agents, workflows and backend services.
• You align AI capabilities with real business value and user needs.
• You translate customer pain points into smart, scalable technical solutions.
• Implementing guardrails and fallback mechanisms, you optimize for cost, speed and stability.
• You collaborate with Data/ML Engineers, frontend, QA and product teams across the full AI lifecycle.
• You share best practices through internal libraries, design patterns and Luminus Data & AI Community., * You will be part of a company that drives key changes towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient society.

• You have strong programming skills in Python and experience with frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• You bring hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and model evaluation.
• Youre comfortable working with APIs, cloud services and DevOps pipelines.
• You have a sharp analytical mindset with a focus on robustness and maintainability.
• You communicate clearly and collaborate with ease.
• Youre fluent in English and either Dutch or French.
