Job description
As an IT Governance & Process Specialist, you will design, implement, and mature IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, while defining end-to-end IT processes. You will work closely with IT leadership, process owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into repeatable, auditable processes and KPIs that drive operational excellence., * design and implement governance frameworks, including steering/forums, roles & responsibilities, decision-making flows, and policy lifecycles
- define, document, and operationalize core IT proacesses (incident, problem, change, release, asset/configuration, capacity, service request, supplier/vendor management, IAM)
- develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for operational teams and SteerCo; define targets and escalation rules
- establish process controls and compliance checks aligned with standards (ISO 27001, ITIL, GDPR) and internal policies
- facilitate workshops and working groups to socialize processes, secure approvals, and ensure adoption
- create process artifacts such as maps, RACI matrices, SOPs, templates, playbooks, and training materials
- support internal and external audit readiness, including evidence collection, remediation tracking, and closure
- coach and upskill process owners and practitioners, embedding continuous improvement methods (Lean, PDCA)
- coordinate with PMO, security, risk, and legal to align governance and change initiatives
- track benefits and measure process improvement outcomes, communicating progress to stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in IT governance, ITSM/process design, or IT risk & compliance roles
- experience implementing IT processes and governance structures (incident, change, release, asset/CMDB, etc.)
- experience supporting audits and remediation activities
- experience in change management is a nice to have
- experience in agile environments is a nice to have
- knowledge of ITIL practices and experience with ISO 27001, GDPR, or other relevant standards
- hands-on experience building KPIs, dashboards, and steering committee materials
- excellent documentation and process-mapping skills (Visio, Miro, or equivalent)
- knowledge of SAP, ServiceNow SPM module, MS DevOps, or similar tools is a nice to have
- strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a data-driven mindset
- collaborative, pragmatic, and diplomatic, balancing governance with operational needs
- organized, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
- fluent in English, Dutch, and French
