Job description
- Administration, monitoring, and optimization of the Big Data environment based on Apache Hadoop in the AWS Cloud
- Management and maintenance of services like Kafka, Flink, NiFi, DynamoDB, and Iceberg Tables
- Deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Planning and execution of updates and upgrades
- Consulting Data Engineers and Data Scientists in selecting suitable Hadoop services for business use cases
- 3rd-level support through error analysis and troubleshooting
- Support in workload optimization, e.g., through query tuning
- Evaluation and implementation of cloud-native services
Requirements
- Completed technical education (e.g., degree in computer science or equivalent qualification)
- Experience in system administration of Linux systems (especially RedHat)
- Solid knowledge in setting up and operating Big Data environments based on Apache Hadoop
- Interest in continuous learning and personal development
