Job description

  • Research and Learning: Learn about Infineon's Smart Power Switches and how they are tested for reliability

  • Skill Development: Improve your skills in Circuit Simulations, PCB Design, and thermal management using state-of-the-art tools

  • Study and Evaluation: Study different heating/cooling topologies and develop an evaluation scheme to scientifically compare them

  • Design and Prototyping: Design, build and evaluate a working prototype of an accurate dynamic thermal management system

  • Documentation and Reporting: Document your results by writing and submitting your Master thesis, This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf). Requirements

  • Education: Pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, (Power) Electronics, System Engineering with a strong ambition for Systems Design and Automatization, or a related field
  • Technical Skills: Provide knowledge and experience in lab measurements, circuit design, PCB layout, and electro-thermal simulations such as SPICE, Simscape, PLECS
  • Language: Fluency in English and/or German
  • Teamwork: ability to work in an international environment
