Java or Scala Developer

• Work full time (38,5h/week) as a member of a diverse and international team of motivated startup people pushing personal storytelling to the next level
• Implement new features for our backend and print layout algorithms using Scala, Play Framework and PostgreSQL among other technologies
• Work closely with our backend and mobile developers
• Brainstorm, design and develop new features together in team sessions
• Give and receive feedback, and criticize respectfully
• Enrich the team with your knowledge

• Track record of developing backend applications (links to projects or GitHub are welcome)
• You have experience with functional programming (Java or Scala, specifically)
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• Self-starter with a strong ‘hands-on’ mentality & passion for solving problems
• You are self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines
• Relocate to/Based in Vienna - the most liveable city in the world
